SWOP regularly arranges seminars, on topics relating to official publications in the widest sense. Topics covered are varied and recent seminars have included Accessing Government Information online, Freedom of Information & Electronic Sources of Scots Legislation.

Introduction to Social Media in the Work Place - free course looking at Social Media tools. Thursday 3rd March, Scottish Government, Victoria Quay, Edinburgh. 10.00-12.30.

May 2008

From Parliament Square to Holyrood - historical official publications online. Held on May 23rd 2008 at the Edinburgh Training Centre, 16 St Mary’s Street, Edinburgh EH1 1SU.

Seminar aimed at all users of official publications and statistics. The seminar will provide an introduction to all the new and exciting historical resources currently available online - from the Pre 1707 Scots Parliament records through to the Holyrood of the present day.

April 2007

Made in Scotland: law making from inspiration to implementation - held in the Wolfson Suite, Edinburgh University Library, on 17th April 2007 A workshop aimed at front line users of Scottish Parliamentary material or those with an interest in the process. The workshop will concentrate primarily on Scottish Parliamentary material although reference will be made to practices in Westminster.
