Venues

Gilmorehill Campus

Access to the University's Gilmorehill campus is via the Main Gate on University Avenue in the West End. On the campus map this is A21.

Registration and Plenary Sessions

Open Scholarship 2006 will be held on the Gilmorehill campus of the University of Glasgow, primarily in the Hunter Halls East and West. The registration desk, posters, lunches and the breaks will be held in the Hunter Halls West. The main conference sessions will be held in the Hunter Halls East.

Tutorials

The 4 conference tutorials will be held in:

Advocacy: Beginners Session Old Archives Room

Staff will be on hand to assist you in finding your tutorial room.

Receptions

The two Conference Receptions will be held in the Hunterian Art Gallery. The Art Gallery is D12 on the campus map. The Art Gallery is next to the University Library.

Note: The venue for the civic reception on Wednesday evening was changed from the advertised City Chambers due to numbers. The reception is now before the buffet dinner on Wednesday evening, however that has been extended until 22.00, in the Hunter Halls.

Conference Dinner

The Conference Dinner will be held in the Bute Hall. This hall is also used for graduations in the University. The Bute Hall is A13 on the campus map. Delegates will be escorted from the Reception in the Hunterian Art Gallery to the Bute Hall on Thursday evening.
