COCOREES

The Collaborative Collection Management Project for Russian and East European Studies. Building on HEFCE's recent initiatives to strengthen Russian and East European Studies (REES) in higher education, the project would set up, test and evaluate inter-library links for collaborative collection management in REES. This would be based on the data and infrastructure provided by three subprojects: a web-mounted directory of UK research collections in REES; specialised listings of research material, also web-mounted; and an associated unified search interface. There would be strong academic involvement in project planning and evaluation.
